What is the I've Done My Part Share Program?

At I've Done My Part we want to start a grassroots movement involving local Synagogues. We want Rabbis and/or Cantors to suggest a donation at the initial Bar/Bat Mitzvah meeting that they have with the parents and child. Often, they discuss the child's Mitzvah Project at this meeting, additionally, we want them to go one step further, and mention a donation to our web site. We understand that making a donation of the magnitude we are asking will probably only happen once or perhaps a few times in one's life time.

Why not share donations with your local Synagogue as well? Let us support local charities and give back to our local communities as well, it only seems logical.

The Share Program: When you make a donation to us, you have the option to support your local Synagogue's Tzedakah fund. Just inform us if you would like a small percentage of your donation, usually 2-7%, to support your local Synagogue's social action charity and we will automatically do the work for you and send them a donation. All the donor needs to do is inform us the name and address of your local Synagogue and what percentage you would like to donate. Sometimes your Synagogue's social action fund will not comply with our mission, if this is the case for your donation, we will re-allocate your funds to the other Charities you have requested. This money does not go to your Synagogue's building fund but to a social action charity fund supported by your local Synagogue. This is an easy way to help your local Synagogue's social action charity as well as promote Jewish charities. It is a win-win-win situation, let's share the wealth and the mitzvah.

Why donate through I've Done My Part? We do not sell your name to anyone, so you will not receive any junk e-mail if you donate through our web site. Plus, all donations to various charities come from us, not you personally, so you remain anonymous. In addition, I've Done My Part does not send out any e-mails or solicitations, at IDMP we respect your privacy and your right to remain anonymous. Lastly, we do it all for you, you make one donation from our web site, pick one or more charity(ies) to support, opt-in to our Share Program, enter your personal information and credit card information once and leave the rest to us.
